Hi, I´m Nina!

Like so much else in life, it was a coincidence that led me into the magical world of brushes.

In the fall of 2012, I spontaneously signed up for a collage and sculpture course with Lise Floistad in Vila Joyosa/Spain. This experience unleashed something within me, and I had to learn more!

My journey led me through many years of exploring different painting styles and techniques in oil and acrylic painting, as well as collage and mixed media. The all-consuming calmness and complete presence that I experienced while painting drove me to keep developing as an artist, and finding my unique expression.

My way of painting:
  • I paint intuitively, spontaneously and quite rough.
  • I love structures in all forms, especially how the painting knife can create unexpected dynamics on the canvas.
  • The emerging lines are my guides during the painting process, pointing the way towards a deeper meaning.
  • My countless travels around the world have probably also helped to shape and, not least, color my art.

“To paint abstract is like living in the space between our imagination and reality”.
